I definitely agree with Ms. Adora. Adults, especially teachers are should definitely try to tap into kids’ perspective because we do have a more confined view point. Most adults, including myself tend to fall into this comfort zone, so we stick to what is most comfortable to use. Kids on the other hand do have an adventurous side, and maybe if we are able to tap into this adventurous side of them, we could be more effective. Everyday, I am trying to think of new ways to spark 100% of my students. I haven’t been successful yet, but I do continue to try. I do understand being practical and definitely traditional, but I am willing to step outside of the box every now and again.
